How do I create my first invoice in Kanch?

To create your first invoice: 1) Set up your company profile with all business details, 2) Go to "Create Invoice" from the dashboard, 3) Add your glass items with dimensions and specifications, 4) The app will automatically calculate areas, charges, and totals, 5) Generate a professional PDF when ready. The Excel-like interface makes it easy to add multiple items quickly.

How do glass calculations work in Kanch?

Kanch handles complex glass industry calculations automatically: 1) Enter actual dimensions in mm or inches (with fraction support), 2) Set chargeable rules (add value or multiple of), 3) Choose glass type and thickness for automatic rate selection, 4) Add polish sides, holes, and cutouts, 5) The app calculates chargeable dimensions, areas in square feet, and final amounts including all charges.

Can I use both mm and inches in the same invoice?

Yes! Kanch supports both metric (mm) and imperial (inches) measurements. You can switch between units for each invoice, and the app handles conversions automatically. Inches support mixed fractions like "12 3/4" for precise measurements common in the glass industry.

How do I set up chargeable rules for my business?

Go to Settings > Chargeable Rules to configure how dimensions are calculated for billing: 1) "Add Value" rule: adds a fixed amount (e.g., 1/8") to actual dimensions, 2) "Multiple Of" rule: rounds up to the next multiple (e.g., 10.74" becomes 12" for multiple of 3). You can set different rules for different scenarios.

Can I customize glass types and rates?

Absolutely! In Settings > Set Rates, you can: 1) Add custom glass types (Block, Door, Farma, etc.), 2) Set rates per square foot for each thickness and type combination, 3) Configure hole, cutout, and polish rates, 4) Add admin charges and other fees. All rates are automatically applied during invoice calculations.

How does data synchronization work across devices?

With a Kanch+ subscription, your data automatically syncs across all devices using Firebase. This includes company profiles, invoices, settings, and rates. Sign in with the same email on any device to access your complete business data. Free users have local storage only.

What should I do if I encounter a bug or technical issue?

If you encounter any issues: 1) Try restarting the app first, 2) Check if your app is updated to the latest version, 3) Contact our support team at kanch.help@gmail.com with details about the problem, device type, and steps to reproduce the issue. Include screenshots if helpful. We typically respond within 24 hours.
